Our motto is “Created by Nurses for Nurses” because the most valuable resource for our company are the nurses who work with us. San Global Inc. was created by nurses who have been front line staff for many years in different capacities and understand the challenges and rewards of practicing nursing in remote in isolated communities in Canada. We have in place resources to support you throughout this journey from hiring, training, on the job support, mentorship opportunities, post assignment debriefings and continuous learning opportunities. Our Required Training
Our training program covers several modules to provide the knowledge and skills that allow our nurses to provide primary care, acute care, public health and healthy living competently. Some of these modules include: advanced adult health assessment, advanced pediatric and adolescent health assessment, adult and pediatric medical conditions, pharmacology/formulary, mental health disorders, chronic disease management, social determinants of health, laboratory, specimen collection, x-rays foundation, incision and drainage, splinting and suturing. The modules are taught using various instructional modalities that are multisensory such as PowerPoint presentations, videos, case scenarios, hands- on skills stations and simulations, as well as self – directed learning. Our nursing training program also uses a mentorship partnership to aid with the professional growth of our members. The program has an online component with several modules and four days practicum sessions.
Our nurses will successfully complete the mandatory certifications and registrations before they are deployed on assignments. The certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, ITLS/TNCC, WHIMS,N95 and Nunavut immunizations certificate.
